Hi, I'm Claudia.

Computer scientist, founder of the Claudia Grimm Academy, and firmly believes that learning shouldn't be any more complicated than the subject itself.

For many years, I have been pondering a question:

How can we convey knowledge in a way that allows people not only to learn it—but to truly understand it?

In 2022, I founded the Claudia Grimm Academy. It all started with programming courses for children and teens. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of guiding more than 2,400 young people as they’ve learned to code, experiment, and understand digital topics.

In the process, I've noticed something time and again:

Just because someone doesn't understand something doesn't automatically mean they lack the ability. Sometimes all it takes is a different explanation, a different approach, or the chance to try it out for themselves.

That is exactly how the Academy you see here today came to be.

Learning doesn't have to be the same old thing.

I develop learning resources that make complex topics easier to understand, more accessible, and sometimes even more playful. Today, these include, for example, the Academy Learning Lab with its mini browser games and exercises, learning resources focused on math, programming, and digital skills, as well as content that helps me explain new technologies and developments in an accessible way. My background in computer science helps me understand the technology behind these topics. My experience in education has shown me how important it is to translate this knowledge in a way that people can actually apply it. For me, education isn’t about imparting as much knowledge as possible in the shortest amount of time.

It's all about that one moment:

"Ah. Now I get it."

That is exactly what I want to create as much as possible through the Claudia Grimm Academy— for children, for teens, for adults, and for everyone who has remained curious.
